Theodore Konyi to lead company as it launches new technologies
VANCOUVER, Dec. 22, 2014 /CNW/ - (TSX-V: SSC) Smartcool is pleased to announce the addition of Theodore (Ted) Konyi to the executive team of the company, effective January 1, 2015. Mr Konyi, the founder of Smartcool, has now agreed to return as CEO to lead the company as it launches new technologies and services in the energy efficiency marketplace. Mr Konyi will also join the Board of Directors.
Mr George Burnes who has led the company as President and CEO for many years will stay on as President and will continue to be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company.
"Smartcool has been transitioning to new product and technology offerings over the last year that address significantly larger markets at a lower price point and yet are substantially more profitable," said Ted Konyi.
