DLT
Solutions, a leading value-added reseller in government information
technology (IT) software and services, today announced that Chris
Lynch will join the company’s Board
of Directors, effective immediately. Lynch, partner at FKA,
is widely revered by the tech community for his passion for emerging
technology, most notably enterprise, big data and data analytics
solutions. Lynch’s appointment brings decades of entrepreneurial and
technology expertise to guide DLT Solutions’ emerging technology
offerings.
“Coming off a record year in 2014, with continued success across all of
our divisions, most notably within the cloud business and expansion of
major contract vehicles, we are positioned for aggressive growth,”
explained Alan
Smith, president and CEO, DLT Solutions. “Chris and I have a
successful relationship that spans almost 20 years—he is a dynamic
technology and business powerhouse. As a member of our Board of
Directors, he will provide DLT Solutions with industry knowledge,
guidance and the entrepreneurial energy to propel our strategy in key
market areas including the cloud, big data and cyber. His appointment
also underscores the company’s focus on identifying and partnering with
leading edge technology companies to bring our customers the solutions
they need to not only solve today’s public sector IT challenges but
those of tomorrow.”
“DLT Solutions has the vision and organizational ability to help their
customers adopt emerging technologies. I’m excited to join Alan and DLT
Solutions to help accelerate that across their vast customer base,” said
Chris Lynch. “We’re on a mission to bring the latest in cyber security
and predictive analytics to the mass market. Cyber attacks represent the
biggest threat to our society’s well-being and our nation’s way of life.”
At FKA, Chris is responsible for investments in Captricity, Data Robot,
Nutonian, Sqrrl and Threat Stack, all of which he seeded, as well as
Recorded Future, and Reddo Mobility. Chris also led the investment in
Hadapt, where he served as chairman prior to the company’s sale to
Teradata (NYSE: TDC), and Lagoa where he was instrumental in its sale to
Autodesk (NASDAQ: ADSK). He previously served as chairman of Azuki
Systems before its sale to Ericsson in 2014. Prior to joining Atlas
Venture in 2012, Lynch was CEO of Vertica Systems, the number one ranked
big data company in the market, and led its acquisition by HP in March
of 2011. Before that, Lynch also led global sales and marketing for
Arrowpoint Communications, and saw the company through its IPO and $5.7
billion acquisition by Cisco.
