Nhale CEO Echoes Call for Nationwide Cannabis Legalization

CDXQ

HOUSTON, TX / ACCESSWIRE / February 26, 2015 / Nhale Inc.'s (OTCQB:NHLE) CEO Lance Williams today commented on the bill introduced last Friday by U.S. Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colorado) calling for legalization of marijuana at the federal level. "Public support for marijuana has clearly increased over the past decade and a firm legal regulatory approach such as with alcohol now makes more sense than today's prohibition approach," said Williams.

Williams said prohibition has failed to control the use and domestic production of marijuana, which is now the largest cash crop in the United States. Nhale is actively pursuing acquisition opportunities in this market and is in talks with a corporation in Oregon regarding a collaborative effort to acquire multiple legal wholesale grow operations and dispensaries.

As the trend toward legalization continued to spread across the nation, the U.S market for legal recreational and medical marijuana grew 74 percent last year, according to researchers from ArcView Group, a cannabis industry investment and research firm.

"Despite the risk of arrests and other sanctions, marijuana proponents have persevered in their support for legalization," said Williams. "The issue will simply not go away. I believe marijuana will eventually be legalized throughout the nation because advocates will continue to fight for it until they prevail."

In 2013, a Gallup Poll reported 58 percent of Americans favored legalizing the use of marijuana, compared to just 12 percent of U.S adults in 1969 and 34 percent in 2003.

Last Tuesday, Alaska became the third U.S. state to legalize the recreational use of marijuana for adults. Twenty-three states currently have laws legalizing marijuana in some form. Other states have passed medical marijuana laws allowing for limited use of cannabis, and in some states criminal penalties have been eliminated for small amounts of pot.
