Regions Bank Named 2015 Gallup Great Workplace Award Winner

RF

Regions Bank has been named a winner of the 2015 Gallup Consulting Great Workplace Award. The award recognizes organizations that create an engaged workplace culture across teams, departments and locations to drive real business outcomes.

Regions is one of 40 companies worldwide recognized by Gallup. Truly engaged workplaces are rare according to Gallup research which shows that, worldwide, just 13 percent of employees are engaged in their jobs. Gallup defines engaged employees as ones who are involved in, enthusiastic about, and committed to their work and workplace.

“Regions associates come to work every day with the goal of helping our customers improve their financial lives,” said Dave Keenan, head of Human Resources for Regions. “We invest significant time and attention to create an environment where talented associates have the opportunity to be at their best and make a real difference. We are honored that Gallup has recognized Regions Bank among the top companies globally for our efforts to create a highly engaged workforce.”

Gallup has studied millions of employees in hundreds of organizations and countries and discovered that employee engagement sets great workplaces apart. Gallup’s research indicates that increasing engagement in the workplace leads to higher productivity, profitability and customer ratings, along with lower turnover and absenteeism and fewer safety incidents.

“The world’s top-performing organizations help lead the global economy by engaging their workforces,” said Jim Harter, Ph.D., Gallup’s chief scientist of workplace management and well-being. “Gallup’s Great Workplace Award winners understand and acknowledge the importance of employee engagement by making it a vital part of their organization while using it as a driving force to create real business outcomes.”

A panel of Gallup workplace experts evaluates applicants and assesses them against established criteria. The top organizations gain entry into an elite group of companies receiving the Gallup Great Workplace Award. Winners will be honored during Gallup’s Spring Summit in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 2-4, 2015.
