New Hires in Piper Jaffray Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking Group

PIPR

Piper Jaffray (NYSE: PJC), a leading investment bank and asset management firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of Garin Arevian and Jason Myler as managing directors in its technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) investment banking group. They will be based in the firm’s Boston office, focused on advising companies in the software and technology-enabled services sectors.

Arevian and Myler were most recently managing directors at MHT MidSpan. Arevian previously spent six years at Harris Williams & Co. where he played a key role in developing the TMT group while furthering efforts in software and technology-enabled services. Myler, a founding member of the technology investment banking boutique firm Falvey Partners, spent several years at Revolution Partners where he focused on software, technology-enabled services and IT services companies.

“Attracting high-caliber talent such as Garin and Jason fuels the growth initiatives in our technology practice,” said Chad Abraham, global co-head of the Piper Jaffray investment banking and capital markets group. “We attribute our ability to attract this level of talent to our strong marketplace presence and overall brand.”

“We’re excited to welcome Garin and Jason to the team; their combined experience and expertise is a very competitive addition to our team and Piper Jaffray overall,” said Mark Leavitt, global head of the Piper Jaffray TMT investment banking group.

“With Garin and Jason’s substantial experience in software M&A and private equity, we are eager to harness their talent in this continuously evolving industry,” added Marc Steifman, global co-head of the Piper Jaffray TMT investment banking group.

Arevian and Myler’s addition follows the firm’s recent March hiring of investment banker Steven Schmidt. Piper Jaffray’s TMT investment banking group now has seven senior bankers dedicated to the software space.
