Delta increases service between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv

Airline will offer 11 weekly year-round flights between Tel Aviv and New York from summer 2016

NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) will add four weekly year-round flights between its New York-JFK hub and Tel Aviv beginning May 26, 2016. The new flights will be available for sale beginning Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015.

The additional flights will complement Delta's existing daily service to Tel Aviv for a total of 11 weekly flights between the two cities and third largest trans-Atlantic market. Delta will operate the added flights with a 291-seat, Boeing 777-200ER, which is Wi-Fi equipped so customers can stay connected at 30,000 feet.

Delta's additional nonstop flight between Tel Aviv and New York-JFK will operate as follows:

Delta's Tel Aviv flights feature full flat-bed seats with direct aisle access and a range of regionally inspired dining options in the Delta One cabin, with Westin Heavenly Inflight Bedding and Tumi amenity kits. Customers flying in Delta Comfort+ benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Main Cabin seats, as well as priority boarding. Throughout the aircraft, all passengers have access to on-demand in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi.

Delta's New York-JFK hub has a number of amenities for passengers, including multiple food and retail outlets. Delta One customers also have complimentary access to the Delta Sky Club, which features an open air Sky Deck terrace and specially-selected food and beverage options.
