CACI Awarded $90 Million Contract to Support FEMA National Public Warning System

CACI

Company Will Enhance and Sustain Network Infrastructure to Ensure Reliable National Emergency Broadcast Capabilities

CACI International Inc (NYSE MKT: CACI) announced today it has been awarded a single-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a $90 million ceiling value to provide sustainment, decommissioning, construction, modernization, and environmental and historic preservation to the National Public Warning System (NPWS) for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This five-year IDIQ contract represents both new and continuing work for CACI, growing the company’s presence in its Enterprise IT market area.

The NPWS is a nationwide alert and warning system used to issue national emergency information to all Americans in the event of a national crisis. FEMA maintains and operates this system for the dissemination of critical national warning messages by broadcast, cable, satellite, and wireline radio and television channels.

Under this contract, CACI will leverage its engineering, network and communications expertise to sustain and modernize NPWS services for enhanced cost efficiency, broadcast reliability, and mission success. The work will include project management, operations and maintenance, and testing of primary broadcast stations to ensure broadcast effectiveness, resilience, and network security during emergency situations.

John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “With our extensive experience supporting large and complex networks for the federal government, CACI is positioned to continue bringing innovation and efficiency to FEMA’s National Public Warning System.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “CACI is proud that our ongoing support for the Federal Emergency Management Agency will help ensure that America’s National Public Warning System remains secure and reliable during emergencies, and that important emergency information is disseminated to inform and protect our nation’s citizens.”

CACI provides information solutions and services in support of national security missions and government transformation for Intelligence, Defense, and Federal Civilian customers.
