Not only is the software affordable and accessible, it also provides easier installation and setup.
"Our mission is to provide affordable solutions that help tax preparers complete more returns in less time," said TaxAct President JoAnn Kintzel. TaxAct's 2015 Preparer's Editions offer the following new tools:
- Dedicated customer support - TaxAct now provides dedicated support for all Professional customers. Available for no additional fee and accessible via email or phone, preparers can now access TaxAct's team of trained tax professionals for tax, technical or other questions.
- Enhanced e-file reporting - TaxAct 2015 Federal and State Editions include a new reporting dashboard that provides convenient, secure access to status updates on e-filed returns and refunds. Tax professionals simply sign in to their secure Practice Manager to access a wide array of professional reports.
- Secure document exchange - Tax professionals can extend the functionality of their TaxAct software with the addition of TaxAct Professional Client Xchange, a new online portal enabling preparers to securely exchange tax forms, documents and returns with their clients. - Identity protection services - TaxAct has partnered with industry leader InfoArmor to enable its Professional customers to offer identity protection services to their clients. InfoArmor protects against tax, identity, credit and cyber fraud by monitoring for suspicious activity that could result in misuse of a taxpayer's personal information. If fraud does occur, InfoArmor's Privacy Advocates will guide the victim through the identity restoration process.
- Additional State Editions - Several new 1041 State Editions are now available, bringing the total number of supported states to nearly 30. All business taxing states are now available for forms 1065, 1120S and 1120.
TaxAct's 2015 Preparer's Editions also boast many of the familiar stand-out features that set it apart from other professional tax software on the market -- providing its users with an easy process and short preparation times. For example, the 2015 Editions continue to provide tax professionals with their choice of data entry method with easy toggle to enter client information directly into tax forms or via its Q&A interview. The direct form entry allows tax preparers to review program calculations and the impact of changes. The Q&A interview method also allows tax preparers to see where the data is populated on the form.
TaxAct's Enterprise Editions include multi-user network sharing. New this year is the option to select either cloud-based or local server networking. The Enterprise Editions continue to offer online data backup on TaxAct's secure servers and Document Manager for saving digital documents.
Staying true to their best-in-value philosophy, the 2015 Preparer's Federal Editions are available at $129.99* each, with the Preparer's Federal Enterprise Editions at $199.99* each, State Editions at $24.99* per state per edition, and $99.99* for each All-States Edition.
TaxAct offers per client return e-filing, as well as software and unlimited e-filing bundles ranging from $589 to $1,449. Affordable solutions for additional refund options and expert audit assistance are also available.
