Partnership Focused on the Convergence of Cyber Security and UAVs
CACI International Inc (NYSE
MKT: CACI) and Virginia Tech’s Ted
and Karyn Hume Center for National Security and Technology announced
today that they have entered into a partnership to develop the next
generation of technology leaders in cyber-physical system security.
During the five-year partnership, CACI will be an anchor partner in the
Hume Center’s Cyber-Physical System Security (CPSS) program, with a
focus on cyber security for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The
partnership will help to underwrite research and the Hume Center’s CPSS
Lab, and provide industry mentoring and research support for
undergraduate and graduate students.
The Hume Center at Virginia Tech is a leading research institution,
sponsoring cutting-edge research into the biggest threats facing
America’s national security. Under the terms of this agreement, CACI
will be working closely with academic experts and students at the Hume
Center to develop curriculum, research initiatives, and support projects
focused on cyber security threats to platforms, specifically including
UAVs. This partnership will help both organizations meet the pressing
demand for highly trained, highly skilled national security
professionals.
