ADP, MCO

ROSELAND, NJ--(Marketwired - Mar 30, 2016) - U.S. private-sector franchise jobs increased by 22,000 during the month of March, according to the ADP National Franchise Report®. Broadly distributed to the public each month free of charge, the ADP National Franchise Report measures monthly changes in franchise employment derived from ADP's actual transactional payroll data. The report is produced by ADP® in collaboration with Moody's Analytics, Inc. and is published by the ADP Research Institute®.

"Accommodations experienced a second consecutive month of solid growth in March, while Restaurant employment growth bounced back to its nine-month average," said Ahu Yildirmaz, vice president and head of the ADP Research Institute. "Accelerating wage growth in the workforce may be helping to drive the gains in these two segments."

Notice of Revisions to the ADP National Franchise Report®

Franchise employment data have been revised to align with the recently released U.S. Census Bureau's comprehensive count of franchise employment for March 2012. The Census Bureau produces these data once every five years. The benchmarking produced a downward level shift of approximately 500,000 to the employment data; growth rates for the historical series did not measurably change.
