Xplore Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: XPLR), manufacturer of the world’s broadest range of high-quality rugged tablet computers, announced today it has been awarded a $1 million order for its Xplore XSLATE B10 fully-rugged tablet from one of the nation’s top 10 electric power and natural gas utility company. The continued deployment and additional orders for the XSLATE B10 tablet are to help the company achieve cost savings and increase mobility in the utility field service.

“We have witnessed great success with our rugged tablet solutions in the electric and gas utilities industry,” said Mark Holleran, president and chief operating officer for Xplore Technologies. “The XSLATE B10 tablet has proven to be the go-to mobile solution for our U.S. utilities customers and continues to deliver the benefits of additional financial savings, and increased mobility, with the information they need all on a single device.”

The utility company selected the XSLATE B10 for its IP65 and MIL-STD-810G rating, extended battery life, and compact size – all useful features for efficient operations in the field.
