CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 2, 2016) - Trican Well Service Ltd. (TSX:TCW) announces that it has
appointed Deborah S. Stein as a director, effective May 31st.
Ms. Stein recently retired from AltaGas Ltd. where she served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
for eight years. During her distinguished career, Ms. Stein was involved in all aspects of accounting and finance including
corporate development, capital markets activities, investor relations and financial management. Ms. Stein, a graduate of
York University, is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant. She also completed her certification with the
Institute of Corporate Directors in 2012. Ms. Stein is also a member of the Board of Directors of Parkland Fuel
Corporation. She also serves as Chairman of the Board for Financial Executives International Canada, a non-profit
professional organization.
In addition, Trican regrets to announce that Douglas F. Robinson and Dean E. Taylor have retired from Trican's board of
directors effective May 31st. Mr. Robinson had served as a director since 1997 and Mr. Taylor since 2012. "Both Doug
and Dean will be missed," said Murray L. Cobbe, Trican's Chair. "They each brought a tremendous amount of industry knowledge
and experience, and made significant contributions. We thank them for their years of service, and wish them well in their
retirement."
In light of the retirement of Mr. Robinson and Mr. Taylor, Trican has considered the size and constitution of its board of
directors and has determined that it will not replace these two directors. Mr. Cobbe noted, "With the addition of Debbie
Stein, we believe that we continue to have a very strong board of directors to steward our company through the current economic
downturn and beyond. We believe that a seven-person board is highly capable of fulfilling its oversight responsibilities and
is an appropriate size in light of current industry circumstances and the current size and geographic scope of our company."
Finally, Trican regrets to announce that Bonita M. Croft, Vice President Legal, General Counsel and Corporate
Secretary, has advised that she will be resigning from the company to pursue other interests. Bonita has agreed to stay on
until June 30 to assist with transition.
Bonita joined Trican in 2005 as Trican's first General Counsel, and has been a key part of Trican's leadership team
for more than ten years. Bonita's outstanding legal skills and dedication contributed greatly to Trican's growth over those
years and also to helping Trican survive the current industry downturn, particularly in achieving successful results in the
disposition of our Russia and U.S. businesses.
Trican wishes to thank Bonita for her years of dedicated service and wishes her well in her future endeavours.
