Stocks Hitting 52-Week Highs

PLNT, BABA, NVDA

 

  • Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE: BABA) shares gained 3.3 percent to reach a new 52-week high of $94.75. Raymond James upgraded Alibaba from Outperform to Strong Buy, while Macquarie upgraded the stock from Neutral to Outperform.
  • Planet Fitness Inc (NYSE: PLNT) shares reached a new 52-week high of $21.76 as the company posted upbeat earnings for its second quarter on Thursday. The company raised FY 2016 revenue guidance to $366 million to $372 million, from $360 million to $370 million.
  • Acacia Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACIA) shares surged 30 percent to touch a new 52-week high of $88.00. Acacia Communications reported quarterly non-GAAP earnings of $0.77 per share on revenue of $116.2 million. The company expects Q3 non-GAAP earnings of $0.64 to $0.76 per share, on revenue of $120 million to $128 million.
  • NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) shares touched a new 52-week high of $63.08 as the company reported stronger-than-expected Q2 results after market close on Thursday. NVIDIA saw Q3 revenues at $1.68 billion plus or minus 2 percent vs. estimates of $1.45. Additionally, management forecasted Q3 non-GAAP gross margins to be 58.0 percent.
