VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - October 07, 2016) - War Eagle Mining Company
Inc. (TSX VENTURE: WAR) ("War Eagle" or the "Company") announces all resolutions put
forward at the Annual General and Special Meeting (the "Meeting") of the Company's shareholders, as further described in the
Company's information circular dated August 29, 2016, were approved, including the following:
- Setting the number of directors of War Eagle (the "Directors") until the next annual general meeting of War Eagle at
four.
- During the Meeting of the Company held on October 3, 2016, Paul A. Carroll, Donald Padgett and Malcolm Burke were
re-elected to the Board of Directors. In addition, William S. Hamilton was elected as a new independent Director to the
Board.
- Appointment of Crowe MacKay LLP as auditors of the Company for the ensuing financial year and the Director's right to fix
the remuneration to be paid to Crowe Mackay LLP.
- The re-approval of the Company's rolling 10% Stock Option Plan.
Mr. Hamilton is a Toronto-based geologist with extensive exploration experience in Canada and Mexico. Since the 1970's he has
been a practicing exploration geologist for several mining companies in those regions and has held senior executive positions
with several mining companies including Corona Corporation (now Barrick Gold Corp.), Campbell Resources Inc. and Campbell
Chibougamau Mines Ltd. Since 2001, he has been a private consultant, providing exploration services for a number of companies,
principally in Mexico. In earlier years he was employed as a senior geologist with the Geological Survey of Canada and the New
Brunswick Department of Mines. He is a registered Professional Geologist in Ontario.
Thomas Atkins did not stand for re-election at the Meeting. The Company thanks Mr. Atkins for his contribution during the time
of his directorship and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
