(TheNewswire)
Vancouver, BC / TheNewswire / February 2, 2017 - Novo Resources Corp. (“Novo” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: NVO; OTCQX: NSRPF) is pleased to announce
metallurgical test results from its 100% controlled Beatons Creek gold project, Western Australia.
In December, Novo collected a composite sample of tailings originating from recently processed bulk sample
material that was treated through the company’s IGR3000 gravity test plant late last year. This sample was submitted to ALS
Metallurgy, Perth for cyanidation studies. Six tests were run on 1 kg splits at various grind sizes and NaCN concentrations
(please refer to the table below).
Calculated head grades range from 1.85 to 3.28 gpt Au and average 2.16 gpt Au. Recoveries are very high,
exceeding 98%, apparently irrespective of the various grind sizes that were tested up to 80% passing a 212 micron (0.212 mm) mesh
screen. Leach times are very short, all samples exceeding 97% recovery within just 12 hours. Recoveries exceed 98%
irrespective of NaCN concentration, the lowest concentration being 0.5 kg/tonne. Lime consumption is low, ranging from 0.87
to 1.51 kg/tonne, and NaCN consumption is very low, ranging from 0.15 to 0.40 kg/tonne.

“Late last year, we decided to test the response of our bulk sample tailings to cyanidation,” commented Dr.
Quinton Hennigh, President, CEO and a director of Novo Resources Corp. “Results from this test work are very encouraging.
Overall recoveries are over 98% even at a coarse grind size of 0.212 mm. Leach times are very fast, 12 hours to achieve
+97% recovery across the board. Consumption of lime and NaCN is low. Interestingly, the average calculated head grade
of this sample was 2.16 gpt Au, higher than what was expected, a grade around 1 gpt Au. Although more work is needed to
better assess these findings, we are contemplating their significance very carefully.”

Director of Novo Resources Corp.
Cyanidation tests were completed by ALS Metallurgy, Perth, WA. The sample delivered to the lab was a
composite of tailings material from recent bulk sample processing conducted by Novo late last year. Tests were performed on 1
kg splits. Specifics of each test including grind size, NaCN concentration and leach times are specified in the above table.
Three similar samples of composite tailings have been submitted to ALS Metallurgy for further testing.
