Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

  • Cherokee Inc (NASDAQ: CHKE) reported a loss for its first quarter on Thursday. The company reported an adjusted loss of $0.07 per share, versus analysts’ estimates for a profit of $0.13 per share. Cherokee shares tumbled 24.52 percent to $5.85 in the after-hours trading session.
  • QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM) reported that it has filed patent infringement complaints against Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) with the U.S. International Trade Commission. Qualcomm alleged that Apple had illegally imported and sold iPhones violating at least one of six Qualcomm technology patents. QUALCOMM shares rose 0.11 percent to $54.85 in after-hours trading, while Apple shares slipped 0.03 percent to $142.69 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNCR) reported the review of strategic alternatives. The company said strategic alternatives could include sale or other transaction. Synchronoss shares climbed 7.82 percent to $17.10 in after-hours trading.

  • RadiSys Corporation (NASDAQ: RSYS) lowered its sales forecast for the second quarter. The company now expects Q2 sales of $35 million, versus earlier outlook of $41 million to $47 million. RadiSys shares dipped 11.39 percent to $3.19 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Dextera Surgical Inc (NASDAQ: DXTR) disclosed that it has places 'temporary shipping hold' on MicroCutter 5/80. The company also reported preliminary FY17 total product sales of $2.9 million to $3 million. Dextera Surgical shares declined 19.35 percent to $0.250 in after-hours trading.
  • Advaxis, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADXS) announced the resignation of its chief executive officer and president Daniel J. O’Connor. The company named Anthony (Tony) Lombardo as interim CEO. Advaxis shares dropped 8.21 percent to $6.15 in after-hours trading.
