The deal joins the highly respected Greenlee and Klauke electrical products brands with Emerson’s RIDGID
plumbing products brand, creating an unparalleled professional tools offering
Emerson (NYSE: EMR) today announced it has completed the purchase of Tools & Test, a leading manufacturer of electrical and
utility tools, diagnostics, and test and measurement instruments. Tools & Test will be combined with Emerson’s Ridge Tool
business unit, forming a $1+ billion global professional tools business serving mechanical, electrical and plumbing
contractors.
Tools & Test’s expertise in electrical joining and diagnostics complements Emerson’s RIDGID portfolio of technologies for
mechanical and plumbing applications, creating the broadest professional tools and technologies portfolio serving the safety and
efficiency needs of the professional trades.
