Baselode Energy (TSXV:FIND) has reported drilling results from the uranium zone in its Hook project.
In a news release, the company said the diamond drilling program on the ACKIO high-grade uranium zone had five holes drilled with more than 20 metres of elevated radioactivity.
To date, more than 15 drill holes for a total of 3,214 metres have been completed.
With headquarters in Toronto, Baselode Energy controls 100 per cent of 264,172 hectares of exploration in Saskatchewan’s Athasbasca Basin.
The company said hole AK23-095 is its fourth-best drill hole by total radioactivity at ACKIO.
“We are confident this drill hole will help increase our understanding of Pods 1 and 7 in this area. The initial holes of this program focussed mostly on infill and definition drilling of Pods 4 and 5. AK23-095 was the first hole designed for delineation and expansion drilling of Pods 1, 2 and 7,” James Sykes, CEO of Baselode, said in a stateent.
Sykes added that Baselode Energy’s best drill results to date have come from Pods 1 and 2, while Pod 7 has been poorly defined and open to the north.
The drilling program is still underway. Roughly 10,000 metres of diamond drilling are planned for the ACKIO/Hook. This will include 7,500 metres to delineation and expansion diamond drilling on ACKIO and the remaining 2,500 metres allocated in three to five areas to discover the next uranium zone on Hook.
Shares of Baselode Energy are up 1.19 per cent to C$0.42 as of 11:21 a.m. ET.
