InZinc Mining Ltd. (TSXV:IZN) found rare earth elements (REE) associated with the nickel-cobalt-copper discovery at Keel Red.

The mineralized 27.1 metre interval of diamond drill hole IB22-020 was analyzed for REE content. That drill hole returned 363 parts per million (ppm) total rare earth oxides (TREO).

The heavy rare earth oxides (HREO) constitute around 60 per cent of the average TREO content over the entire interval.

The red, clay-rich host containing the nickel-cobalt-copper and REE mineralization at Keel Red, with its relatively high HREO content, distinguishes Keel Red from the more common REE bearing occurrences known elsewhere in British Columbia.

The 2023 drill program includes plans for between eight to 12 reverse circulation drill holes over approximately 600 metres of the Keel Red and Echo North trends in the northern area of the Main Trend. The program is expected to be complete by late September 2023.

The 1.9 km long Echo target is a multi-element (zinc, lead, barium) soil geochemical anomaly that is set for drill testing later this year.

The Vancouver-based miner has also begun the fully funded 2023 drill program at its Indy Zinc and precious metals project.

InZinc Mining Ltd. is engaged in acquiring and exploring mineral assets in the United States and Canada. The company’s projects include the West Desert property, PX property and Indy property that is located in central British Columbia.
