European Energy Metals closes acquisition of Finland properties

  • European Energy Metals (TSXV:FIN) has closed the acquisition of seven mineral properties in Finland
  • The properties span 3,106.5 square kilometres
  • Under the terms of the acquisition, the company has acquired all shares of BB Gold and its wholly owned Finland subsidiary, Sisu Exploration Oy
  • Shares of European Energy Metals are down 5.43 per cent to C$0.44 as of 9:51 am ET

European Energy Metals (TSXV:FIN) has officially closed the acquisition of seven mineral properties spread across Finland.

In a news release, the Vancouver-based company stated under the terms of the transaction, it has acquired all of BB Gold’s shares and its wholly owned subsidiary in Finland, Sisu Exploration Oy.

As part of the agreement, European Energy Metals has officially acquired 100 per cent interest in the seven mineral properties that span just over 3,100 square kilometres.

The reservations include:

  • Kontti and Kontti 2 reservations, which are underlain by roughly 1.8 billion year-old granitoids including S-type “microline” granites
  • Harra reservation in the northern part of the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt (CLGB) that is also underlain by 1.8 billion-year-old granitoids
  • Mairivaar and Nousu reservations, which are in the CLGB and is underlain by mafic and ultramafic volcanic rocks
  • The Angelvaara reservation in the eastern portion of the CLGB
  • The Kila reservation, which is underlain by meta-sedimentary rocks of the Pohjanma Schist Belt

European Energy Metals is focused on the Lithium-Cesium-Tantalum Finnish Pegmatite Project in central Finland. The company concessions are within 11 miles of the Keliber mine under construction that is expected to begin production in the second half of 2025.

Shares of European Energy Metals are down 5.43 per cent to C$0.44 as of 9:51 am ET.
