Ximen Mining (TSXV:XIM) has completed its drilling program at the Wild Horse project near Cranbrook, British Columbia.
In a news release, the company said it tested an area where old soil anomaly and abundant boulders of syenite were found along the mapped position of the Boulder Creek fault.
According to Ximen Mining, a total of 528.7 metres were drilled in hole WH23-01, which intersected multiple carbonate-quartz veins and an altered and veined associated with a porphyry dyke intruding limy argillite and limestone.
The Wild Horse project lies within the regional Kimberley Gold Trend and covers source areas for the famous historic Wild Horse River placer gold deposit near Fort Steele and Cranbrook.
Bedrock gold was first discovered in this area as early as 1895, while gold-bearing quartz veins and breccias were drilled in 2016 and 2021 on Ximen Mining’s property, indicating the potential for a bulk-minable gold deposit.
Ximen Mining is focused on its three 100-per-cent-owned precious metals projects in southern British Columbia.
The company also has two gold projects, the Amelia Gold Mine and the Brett Epithermal Gold Project, as well as the Treasure Mountain Silver Project that is under an option agreement.
Shares of Ximen Mining rose 7.14 per cent following the news to C$0.07 as of 9:30 a.m. ET.
