Power Metals gears up for 2024 exploration at Case Lake

Power Metals (TSXV:PWM) has completed its 2023 field exploration activities at its Case Lake Property in Ontario. The company is now gearing up for an exploration program in the new year at the property.

In a news release, the Vancouver-based company stated 2023 field exploration activities included high-resolution airborne surveys and the compilation and interpretation of historic and recent exploration data.

“We are very happy with the completion of our 2023 exploration activities at Case Lake. Our team has been able to complete the target generation process and identified several untested target areas. We look forward to drill testing the targets as we prepare to launch an exploration drill program in the new year,” Johnathan More, chairman of Power Metals, said in a statement.

Other highlights of the 2023 field exploration program include:

  • The completed compilation of property-scale linear features that identified regional structures that control emplacement and distribution of LCT pegmatites at Case Lake
  • Field exploration activities including prospecting, sampling and mapping that identified several new pegmatites
  • The compilation of historical and recent exploration data and the detailed target generation process that identified eight high-priority targets that haven’t yet been tested by drilling

Roughly 80 kilometres east of Cochrane, Ontario, the Case Lake Property consists of 579 cell claims and spans 10 kilometres by 9.5 kilometres in size with 14 tonalite domes.

Power Metals is a company focused on developing and acquiring mining projects, including lithium and high-growth specialty metals and minerals.

Shares of Power Metals are up 2.13 per cent to C$0.24 as of 11:53 am ET.
