Baylin Technologies’ (TSX:BYL) subsidiary was awarded C$655,000 to support NASA’s Lunar Exploration and Colonization initiative – Artemis.

Advantech Wireless’ high-power solid state power amplifiers (SSPA) are designed to operate over special Cislunar (the area between Earth and the moon or the moon’s orbit) frequencies. These fully redundant amplifier systems are specifically engineered to fit in the interior of large-aperture, full motion antennas, as part of NASA’s drive to segregate their near space operations (within 2 million kilometres from Earth) from their deep space operations.

“This award is yet another example of Advantech’s success in establishing ourselves as a key provider of ground station systems needed to support NASA’s Artemis Program,” John Restivo, president of Advantech Wireless Technologies, said in a news release.

“The NASA lunar exploration mission includes direct-to-Earth communication and navigation services which require unique high-power capabilities,” Baylin’s CEO, Leighton Carroll added. “This was a competitive bidding process and seeing Advantech selected for another NASA Artemis program speaks to the quality technology our teams are delivering.”

Baylin Technologies Inc. is a diversified global technology company that is focused on the research, design, development, manufacture and sale of passive and active radio-frequency products, satellite communications products, and supporting services.

Baylin Technologies Inc. (TSX: BYL) opened trading at $0.30 per share and though its stock is up 36.36 per cent over the past month, it is down 30.23 per cent from this time last year.
