Hertz Energy to acquire mineral claim in Nunavut

  • The claim is at the core of the Cominco Uranium Property and includes nine blocks of 16.37 acres for a total of 146.33 acres
  • The claim also contains the Pomie uranium showing and trenched and drill results with work dating back to the late 1970s by Cominco
  • Shares of Hertz Energy are up 18.18 per cent to C$0.13 as of 9:50 am ET

Hertz Energy (CSE:HZ) reveals it has entered into an agreement to acquire 100 per cent interest in a mineral claim in Nunavut.

In a news release, the company stated the claim is at the core of the Cominco Uranium Property and includes nine blocks of 16.37 acres for a total of 146.33 acres

The claim also contains the Pomie uranium showing and trenched and drill results with work dating back to the late 1970s by Cominco.

The addition of the claim also provides Hertz Energy with 100 per cent ownership for a contiguous and whole land package at the Cominco Uranium Property.

The Cominco Property is focused on two main uranium showings of interest, the Pomie and the Yon showings. Previous regional work in the area by the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) identified mineral potential for uranium in the area.

In addition to its acquisition of the Cominco Uranium Property, Hertz Uranium has also recently submitted applications for exclusive prospecting licenses in Namibia.

The application areas cover an area of 9,627.84 hectares in Central Namibia in the Erongo Region that is host to numerous primary and secondary uranium deposits.

Hertz Energy is a mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties. Its lithium exploration projects include the Lucky Mica Lithium Project, the ACDC Lithium Project, Snake Lithium Project and the Patriota Lithium Projection.

Shares of Hertz Energy Inc. (CSE:HZ) are up 18.18 per cent to C$0.13 as of 9:50 am ET.
