Myriad Uranium (CSE:M) reveals it has completed a recent site visit at the Copper Mountain Uranium Project in Wyoming.
The company stated in a news release that the purpose of the site visit was to largely confirm the location of Union Pacific’s borehole positions.
Union Pacific drilled roughly 2,000 boreholes, discovered seven uranium deposits and developed a six-pit mine plan at the project in the 1970s, which is now estimated to have resources between 15.7 and 30.1 million pounds of uranium oxide.
“During our site visit we were able to confirm the accuracy of borehole locations in our data set,” Thomas Lamb, CEO of Myriad Uranium, said in a statement.” In particular, the borehole locations we have relating to the ‘Area of Special Interest’ or ‘High-Grade Zone’ at North Canning, where Union Pacific drilled mineralized intercepts of up to 291 feet with grades of up to 3,850 ppm, appear to be easily locatable with a hand-held GPS. This will greatly assist the planning and targeting of our upcoming drill program.”
Now that the historic boreholes have been located, the company will move forward with planning future activities, such as drilling.
Myriad Uranium is a uranium exploration company with an earnable 75 per cent interest in the Copper Mountain Uranium Project in Wyoming.
