Plant-based food stock Else Nutrition (TSX:BABY) will soon offer its ready-to-drink kids shakes in Southern California’s leading upscale grocery store chain.
The shakes, available in chocolate and vanilla, will appear on shelves in September in 19 locations across the region – from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles to Palm Springs – and will be accompanied by promotional offers touting their differentiated recipe, including being dairy- and soy-free, corn syrup- and gluten-free, clean label and non-gmo, while containing 25 vitamins and minerals and 50 per cent less sugar than the leading brand.

The grocery chain, founded in 1982, “has become a leader in the industry, renowned for its freshness, homemade quality and the inviting atmosphere that welcomes every shopper,” according to Thursday’s news release. As such, Else believes the deal is aligned with its commitment to clean, whole-food ingredients that offer parents more balanced nutritional choices.
“We are delighted to collaborate with this esteemed grocery chain to increase the accessibility of our delicious kids ready-to-drink products for families in Southern California,” Hamutal Yitzhak, co-founder and chief executive officer of Else Nutrition, said in a statement. “This partnership is a natural fit for Else Nutrition, as we both prioritize offering high-quality, healthy and flavourful food options to our customers.”
