Argyle Resources (CSE:ARGL) has landed the rental of a strategically located pilot processing facility in Quebec near its silica exploration facilities.

In a news release, the company stated it has effectively begun assembling a pilot processing facility and laboratory thanks to the rental, which will act as a crucial hub for Argyle Resources’ silica outcrop samples processing operations.

“We are excited to announce this new pilot processing facility, which represents a significant step forward in our exploration and processing capabilities,” Jeff Stevens, CEO of Argyle Resources, said in a statement. “Having a dedicated space for crushing equipment will streamline our operations and enhance our ability to efficiently process and analyze our silica samples.

The facility will be host to trailer-mounted crushing, grinding and sorting equipment, which will allow for easy assembly, disassembly and transportation.

Argyle intends for the equipment to process grab samples and bulk samples from quartzite silica outcrops previously identified at its three 100-per-cent-owned quartzite silica exploration properties in Quebec.

During the 2024 bulk season, the goal will be to extract 200 kilograms of bulk samples of quartzite silica outcrops from each of the three properties that will then undergo the processing of crushing, grinding and pulverizing quartzite samples to produce high-grade metallurgical silica.

Additionally, the plant is expected to meet the growing demands of the battery materials industry in Quebec where a C$7 billion battery manufacturing facility is currently under construction and slated for completion by 2026.

Argyle Resources is focused on acquiring, exploring, staking and evaluating natural resource properties in North America.

The company holds an option to acquire up to 100 per cent of the Frenchvale Graphite Property in Nova Scotia and owns 100 per cent interest in the Pilgrim Islands, Matapedia and Lac Comporte quartzite silica projects in Quebec.

Shares of Argyle Resources (CSE:ARGL) are up 2.17 per cent to C$0.94 as of 12:04 pm ET.
