The final edition of Buzz on the Bullboard this year wraps things up in similar fashion to how it began; plenty of discussion on cannabis.
Friday Night Inc. (CSE: TGIF, OTCQB: ISOLF, Forum) tops the list and there’s no shortage of good news for this company. The list price hit $1.20 Friday, up from $0.35 this time last month. On Thursday, TGIF announced a $115,000 merger with medical marijuana company Body and Mind Inc. (CSE: C.BAMM, OTC: BMMJ, Forum).
Other companies that investors were talking about are, Novo Resources Corp (TSX: V.NVO, OTCQB: NSRPF, Forum), as well as cannabis companies: Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX: ACB, OTCQB: ACBFF, Forum), newcomer to the Buzz, Cannabis Wheaton Income Corp. (TSX V.CBW, Forum) and Isodiol International Inc. (CSE: ISOL, OTCQB: ISOLF, Forum).
The Patient Home Monitoring Corp. (TSX:V.PHM, Forum) makes its debut on the list, but that is likely due to a 26% drop in share price since yesterday. This came with news of the Supreme Court of British Columbia approving the arrangement between PHM and Viemed Healthcare, Inc. PHM's wholly-owned subsidiary. The two are trading as separate companies on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Namaste Technologies (CSE: N, OTCQB: NXTTF, Forum) comes in 7th and Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX: WEED, OTCQB: TWMJF, Forum) takes the eighth spot.
Finishing off this top 10 are tech company Cuba Ventures Corp. (TSX: V.CUV, OTCBB: MPSFF, Forum) and Valeura Energy Inc. (TSX: VLE, OTCQB: PNWRF, Forum).
Looking back on 2017’s Buzz on the Bullboards, cannabis stocks reigned supreme and just about every edition mentioned a company.
The top of nearly every list was either occupied by Aurora Cannabis, or Isodiol. Aurora made headlines in November for their unsolicited offer for CanniMed Therapeutics Inc. (TSX: CMED, OTCQB: CMMDF, Forum). At the same time, Isodiol announced the sales launch of a unique cannabidiol product: the world’s first cannabidiol product not taken from the cannabis plant. Instead, ISOL is pioneering the extraction of cannabidiol (CBD) from the hops plant.
Following those, Canopy Growth, Friday Night, and Namaste Technologies. Were all names that appeared in nearly every edition.
Cannabis is still the big game targeted by Stockhouse’s stock-hunters and these stocks have seen growth in 2017.
For those looking for more information on what these companies were doing to attract attention, or if you just missed any previous edition, Stockhouse created a page dedicated to Buzz on the Bullboards which you can find here.
