Buzz on the Bullboards: NEW Favorites Grabbing Attention

For some investors, there has been a little too much “cannabis content” on Stockhouse in recent months. Sure, cannabis is an exciting, emerging sector with enormous investment opportunities for many years to come. But there is a whole world of investment opportunities out there, many of which have nothing to do with cannabis.

Over the past week, the Stockhouse audience has increasingly turned their attention to such non-cannabis stories. A case in point is the overall leader on the Stockhouse Bullboards over the past week, Antibe Therapeutics Inc. (TSX: V.ATE, OTCQB: ATBPF, Forum).

This healthcare company is engaged in the development and out-licensing of a number of pharmaceutical products. On March 20th, Antibe’s share price nearly doubled from $0.36 to $0.68. This prompted an IROC halt and a “no material change” announcement from Antibe. However, as the saying goes, where there is smoke there is often fire. This company bears watching.

Another non-cannabis name that is attracting lots of attention on Stockhouse is Canada Jetlines Ltd. (TSX: V.JET, OTCQB: JETMF, Forum). This Industrials group company has been a strong performer over the past year. Its following at Stockhouse has grown to the point that it topped the Industrials Bullboard leaders over the past week – displacing perennial Stockhouse favorite, Bombardier Inc. (TSX: BBD.A, NASDAQ: BDRAF, Forum) for the first time in recent memory.

In the resource sector, two familiar names were new leaders on the Metals & Mining and Energy Bullboards rankings, respectively. Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. (TSX: IVN, NASDAQ: IVPAF, Forum) led the way among mining companies over the past week, after not even ranking in the Top-6 the previous week. Mining investors wanted to discuss IVN’s recently released full-year results for 2017 and operational review.

Among the Energy Bullboard rankings, the new leader this week was the pipelines large-cap, Enbridge Inc. (TSX: ENB, NYSE: ENB, Forum). There hasn’t been any material news released on ENB recently, so its surging popularity this week is a more of a surprise.

On the Technology Bullboard rankings over the past week, a brand-new name appeared in the Top-6: Natcore Technology Inc. (TSX: V.NXT, OTCQB: NTCXF, Forum). NXT is involved in solar cell R&D. Its share price went from $0.04 on March 14th to $0.28 by March 16th. The Company put out news of a “dramatically streamlined” fabrication process for its proprietary Natcore Foil Cell™.

Stockhouse Publishing: your favorite destination to talk about cannabis companies with other investors. But it’s also Canada’s favorite small-cap destination for mining investors, and energy investors, and healthcare investors, and tech investors.
