The Calandra Report: What the name of this merger will be

Google & Tesla Motors together in one energized equity.

Possible? Anything is possible.

Probable? Yes, more probable than, say, Apple & Tesla.

Inferred? Sure. As one, the two (GOOG & TSLA in USA) could approach a half-trillion market value.

Proven? We'll see. Such a transaction would catapult shares of lithium-ion developers, wanna-be graphite mines and who knows, maybe even Apple Computer -- the company most mentioned as a Tesla partner in equity.

Tesla has something like $500 million that it owes the U.S. Energy Department. Who knows what the new name of the company would be.

I like the lithium and graphite angle here. On lithium, I go with Western Lithium (WLC in Canada) -- as discussed here in February. Can't beat its Nevada location, its clay business and its model plant in Germany.

On graphite, Anthony Huston of Graphite One Resources (GPH in Canada) just dropped off his Alaska project developer's latest brochure. I like the list of graphite deposits CEO Huston and his little Graphite One put together. (See here below.)

I follow -- or try to follow -- these graphite wanna-bes: Northern Graphite (Ontario, Canada), Alabama Graphite (USA) and Mason Graphite (Quebec). I own a bunch of one that is obscure, and in Quebec -- Nouveau Monde (NOU in Canada).

SYSOREX, COLT, ANGKOR GOLD

I sent this here along to TCR Blips members. That service is $29 yearly, and Blips is just a little of the stuff that crosses my screen now and then. I have revised this, and I think the Sysorex and Colt material is actionable right now (Wednesday & Thursday)?.

These names - in the leftovers bin right now -- could have positive events later this week. [Keep an eye on thomcalandra.com for more.]

-- Sysorex Global Holdings is out with its quarterly financials Thursday. SYRX (NASDAQ) is into The Cloud, Mobile Computing, Data Storage, Data Analytics, Systems Integration. The California company must show repairs on its sales leakage of late 2015. I think we could see CEO Nadir Ali and team (AirPatrol, Lilien, Sysorex, Shoom) log contracts or at least "discuss" likely clients for 2015: shopping malls, retailers, military, government agencies, casinos, entertainment parks, prisons.

No need for more numbers here. The entire Sysorex team knows it is under the fiscal gun and must deliver this week. I know for a fact. I just bought 1,000 more SYRX shares at $1.55 USD. (That was on Tuesday. As is my custom, it seems these days, I apparently overpaid. The stock acts like puppy-poo. Anything of substance in the report and conference call from Mr. Ali or his associates at AirPatrol and Lilien Systems will take the stock higher.)

-- Colt Resources is seeing plenty of trading today (Tuesday) and for the month of February. When 2 million shares of battered GTP (Canada ticker) change hands in a day, big-bet investors are taking a place in line. We'll see. I don't know on which front Colt will show some movement. It could be tungsten in Portugal, copper in Portugal, gold in Portugal. It could be the Reko Diq copper-gold affair in Pakistan. It could be a sale or a purchase. I continue to be in for the count.

-- Desert Star Resources (Copper King and Red Top in Arizona's copper belt) just put $2 million CAD in the bank, a year after I saw the drill targets and bought into Vince Sorace's tiny prosector. Promising IP anomalies at both of these. One of them is a Eurasian Minerals farm-out (EMXX in USA). Desert Star is DSR in Canada and IAXFF in USA.

On the Cambodia front, Angkor Gold shares touched a fresh high this morning. Drilling at China Wall, a copper-gold target, where we just visited (for a seventh time), is completed. See the release. I can send the special letter from CEO Mike Weeks for those who want it. It is a corker. That update also refers to Craig's Vein, and a drill rig for the gold-vein target. Craig's Vein -- all of ANK's licensed concessions but one are in NE Cambodia -- could turn heads. I just wish the company had found a less over-the-top word than "spectacular" for one of its descriptions of a target. Still, with two rigs now delivering core (some of which I have seen and look promising), there is a chance one of these, possibly Craig's vein (named after one of the young geologists on site), is a sulfidation zone of epithermal mineralization.

Adrian Mann, senior-citizen chief geologist for ANK (ticker Canada) refers to "spectacular" deposits at Yanacocha (Peru), Lepanto (Philippines) and La Coipa (Kinross in Chile). One-fifth of the potential of any of those will propel ANK (and ANKOF in USA) shares to all-time highs. I am a shareholder. It is going to take off at any moment.

-- Golden Wonder Mine in Colorado -- more photos; coverage to come. See: Gunnying for Gold.

Yes, it is LKA International (LKAI in USA | LKA Gold). I was there for the boom -- see the videos.?

First this one, just from this past weekend in Colorado:

Thanks to Tony G. in Florida for that one.

If that video does not work, or you cannot access it, then try this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5TQQafHUtU.

More to come on Golden Wonder, which provides high-grade ore to producing mines that seek to lower their production costs.
