RE:RE:Listen to the earnings conference call andThere is no such thing as "investing", it is an illusion. Every single company around in 1850 is bankrupt or was absorbed by another company to capture any remaining assets of any value. And more recently? How about Bank of America, Meryl lynch, GM, Chrysler, AIG, Lehman Brothers, Bank of Scotland, The country of Greenland, Freddie Mac and Fannie May, over 490 American banks ( Only Banks!) since 2008. How many European companies and countries went belly-up. Pretty well all the major institutions in the U.S. were bought out or bailed out. Try explaining to a widow that BOAC went out of business in four days? I could name a hundred more easly. I know you get the point. And, I covered my short as disclosed on the day earnings were released and took a moderate long position. I'm up on both trades but don't like the way the stock is acting at all. I won't let my long position turn into a loss...that's rule one of investing right? P.S. I am not picking on you. I worked thirty years as an investment broker and the things advisors tell you is "investment quality", is B.S. and it turns my stomach. Finally when a great company is trading at 30-40 times earnings it is not investment grade any longer. This economy is a synthetic one and a deceitful one as well. Don't get complacent. And good luck to you and all.
