OSB producers are giving back

Looks like Norbond came out with Q1 financials today. They have started up a quarterly dividend which should prompt other companies to follow the lead.

Amazingly, they made $1.27 /share and are giving out 60c in a quarterly variable dividend.

Using the same benchmarks and profit margins. ANS should make about .37c per share and can also come out with a .15c quarterly dividend. Because of ANS weaker financial position, I would hazard to guess a 5c dividend may be coming our way.

We should see a small pop tomorrow in share price.

that is very true. I am not sure how much of NBD is idled or if it is running at full capacity. a 5c div would be about 12M. Brookfield also owns a majority share of NBD so I am thinking they will be reinstating dividends across the board on all their OSB assets. But time will tell. I traded some ANS assets for NBD. ANS has much more upside potential but i feel NBD is a little more safer going ...more
