Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE: The official rebuttal

RE: The official rebuttalIt has been agreed that the LATAM properties and facilities do indeed exist and that the value is within an accepable price range even though considered to be at the high end of that range..The reason that V.N. as well as the two founding partners are being kicked out is because they failed to disclose that they had a conflict of interest by being involved on both the seller ( LATAM) and buyer (APHRIA) side of the deal.  As a result ,in my opinion, this was NOT an arms lenght transaction. I question whether the securities company who gave the fairness opinion on this deal was aware of the conflict.  In addition i think that all three parties, with the conflict, should be forced to return their profits on this deal back to the company!!!
