Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Connecting the DOTS - Great Post on Stocktwits

Connecting the DOTS - Great Post on StocktwitsBy LongInvestor:
$APHA Adding to my post below, did you know the Wrigley family is now into Cannabis. Beau Wrigley invested $65M into Surterra Wellness and is now the CEO. “He believes Surterra could be even bigger than the multibillion-dollar Wrigley chewing gum and mint company” that he ran as CEO. “I truly believe, in many respects, that I'm building the next Wrigley Company," he said. There are a couple tie-ins from my post below to both Wrigley and Pepsi. And remember that in late 2019, Pepsi CFO said “we don’t leave any stones unturned in terms of looking for growth first and foremost, in the CPG space. But cannabis is something we will look at carefully before entering.” Not out of the question. Good to have some connections, especially if you have a very large end-game in mind, such as becoming the “Amazon of Cannabis” as APHA’s ceo now wants....

$APHA Connect the dots- Irwin Simon (APHa’s CEO) also runs $ACTT, which is working to acquire two companies within the next week to form “Whole Earth Brands”. They already sell products to ie Starbucks. “Whole Earth Brands would have a “Footprint of 100 Countries“ for distribution. The company supplies to large consumer co’s such as The Hershey Company and Altria Group, Inc. Side note in article, some may not know about Irwin, APHA’s CEO Irwin Simon “Founded Hain and Has Completed Over 55 M&A Deals in his Career” While you use your imagination on Simon’s end game here with the Whole Earth Brands tie back to Aphria’s expanding Cannabis retail presence, keep in mind that Walter Robb (former CEO of Whole Foods who negotiated their sale to $AMZN ) is now a Director at Aphria. Also, Albert Manzone will be at the helm of Whole Earth and “has a long history at major consumer products companies including PepsiCo, Inc (11 yrs). Wrigley (2yrs), & Phillip Morris (5yrs) “
