Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Price update: Broken Coast and Good Supply in Alberta

Price update: Broken Coast and Good Supply in Alberta     Today, I bought some Broken Coast Frost Monster (Gabriola) 3.5 g packaged on 2020-06-22 for $40. Also a 1g 510 cart of Pineapple Express packaged on 2020-NOV-02 for $60. Prices are coming down for consumers.
Recreational sales are still increasing thanks largely to the increased number of  new stores in Ontario and competition with the black market. Although margins are coming down revenues are going up. Combined market share of 19% with the new merger. Looks like the curve for rec sales isn't going to flatten in Canada for a while. A very good thing.
Jan. 5 is an incredibly huge date for many mj companies. If the Dems can win the two senate seats, this company will be incredibly positioned in the event of federal legalization. Manitoba Harvest. Sweetwater Brew. Even if this does not happen, decriminalization could lead to medical cannabis exports into the U.S.
With state of the art facility in Portugal there probably is no need for the Malta and Columbian operations? Climate is very conducive for outdoor grow in Portugal. Could be great for hemp.
Infrastructure for Europe is in place. But political climate for recreational seems a far stretch in Germany and many other EU nations. Many headwinds and all that infrastructure is just parked waiting to be utilized.
If things don't open up beyond Canadian borders, I see increasing revenues that are constrained by the size of the Canadian market, but lots of debt. If all the stars don't line up as management has planned it will be some time before we see the benefits to this proposed merger. In the long run I believe this new company will do extremely well.
I have been married to this stock for some time. There are so many new contributing factors to consider that it has become very complex undertaking to predict things with any degree of certainty. I am not sure I have the time to let this one play out.  If there is a spike in  the sp before earnings, I will propably sell most of my position.
