Moving to net short position in APHA

While this stock/company has done better than most in this sector, there are some issues including excessive insider enrichment. They seem to give themselves huge number of shares and sell them as soon as they get chance. There have been no insider purchases. The balance sheet does have a couple of issues so it is not as great as we like to think. Management hasn't quite earned market confidence  (pulling the guidance, for instance, was bad idea). I could go on but to each his/her own. I am more of a seller from now on.

onward1, Your thoughts on its cash position. January they had 600m. End of the reported qtr they had 533ish. How could they vapourize that much cash so fast?

Blackredblack, you are right about the cash burn. It is a real issue and it is one of the several reasons I have soured on it. This stock is getting knocked down after every feeble rally for a reason.

My concern here is they had to buy other companies wholesale to meet the demand  they will never last if they can not grow thier own.  Other companies wont wholesale the good stuff so buying mid grade and slapping APH on the label is no way to run a company

Well, BigJohn, I have had various stocks in this space and I can honestly say none of them are doing well. They range from train wrecks to disappointments. You have to see things the way they are, not how you want them to be. APHA is just one of the disapointing stocks/management, notwiithstanding all the positive stuff being said about it. The share price action is telling and it is not wrong. I ...more

Hey Onward, Did you sell all you shares yet??? Where are you putting all of your money since your selling APHA now?

Hey Onward, Could you dump more of your shares so that the share price can get to about $3.50? I'm lookin to do a buy before Q4 is out. Call up Potty and Meho see if you can get them into it. Careful though they are in the US and might have the rona
