May as well just ride it out.
But the best move would be to do a swap, buy PCE and sell your AVF, as PCE is priced at a discount. So you will get more shares of the new company for the same number of dollars. And you get to book a tax loss if you sell your AVF today.
As AVF initiated this deal, they will not get a sweetened offer. But PCE could get a bid from someone else, pushing its share price up even more in relation to AVF. So the swap looks like a classic "no-brainer".
If the deal does go through, you still win.
