Look at it this way

Look at it this wayIf this is the bottom and you achieve 7%Divi and a year from now the world stabilizes....and we slowly go up to say 70 dollars a share....you would be sitting on a large capital appreciation...1000 shares at 54 bucks and sell a year later for 70 gives you 16000 dollars capital gain and....don't forget the divis....7% of 54000 dollars is almost 3800 in divis.
So 16000 plus 3800 is 19,800 in 1 year of owning 1000 sh. Of bns.
My calculations  show a return of almost 38%....not too shabby....for a 1 year wait.
Of course all this depends on this price today being the lowest share price and bns going to 70 dollars within a year.  A possibility....not a pie in the sky.
I have a lot of confidence in Canadian banks.
