RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Are they about to redeem themselves?I think you're right greentundra. After some analysis, I have come to really like the business modeling. The next piece that will put me squarely back in my comfort zone with AUSA is to see that they have the marketing chops to take hold of the space. I'm also looking forward to seeing the mobile and loyalty components, which will be important.
If it's true that they've been in talks with other MSOs since early this year, I'm hoping for a quick win with Thrive now setup, and showcasing what it can do. Dispensaries will need some quick solutions to solve for social distancing, plus longer term to cut back on hourly wages (as many have pointed out here).
Don't be too quick to dismiss our friend PurpleKush. PK is quick to fire insults, which can either shut down thoughtful dialogue and/or fire up a fighting match, but if you peel it all back there are often good insights and perspective worth hearing. I certainly understand the frustration.
I'm of the view that there is still a window of opportunity for management to pull this out of the fire, and I suspect that the dissident group may be playing a valuable role in putting managements' feet to it. I'm also ok with them having pushed back the AGM if a few extra weeks are what they need to - for real - get their house in order (make Cocoon sing, close some more deals and map out the rest of the cannabis sector strategy). It has been a rough ride since the IPO, but at this point it's in no one's interest to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
All that said, if by mid-November they are still going in circles, I will be all ears and more than prepared to listen to anyone else's Plan B (which, should be noted, has not yet been provided by the dissidents). Because at that point we'll be needing a Hail Mary toss. Hopefully we won't find ourselves there.
