RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Question
noretire it will be impossible to avoid having dealings with China. Inevitably all companies will even exro and hpq. They are way too big of a market to avoid either on the buying end or on the selling one. Not going to happen what you think right now even if it may be right now. Somewhere down the line when that happens in things you are invested in what will you do then? Stocks and monies is the furthest of ethical things. While we do our best to follow our own ethics and philosophy one way or the other we will always have blood on our hands. I think you have shares in Mrs and they are looking to China as well. So if that is the case you having shares there if you do what will you do then? You can not avoid China it is inevitable they only account for 20 percent of the worlds population why would anyone ignore them? It's just business. Plus it is very wrong to over generalize about the sins of some to make them sins of the others or all not everyone supports the way the Chinese government does things. In fact there are factions in Canada some are hard core pro Nationalists orhers protest against them. It is unfair and I hate to use this word ignorant to hold your view as much as I applaud and respect you for it but for the reasons I am saying when companies you hold shares in deal with China then what? You wont possibly sell out even if they can go up further will you? At one point I didnt like it much either cheap labour poor controls and this is the West sweat shops set up in China unfortunately we have tons of blood on our hands too nobody is without it. The way to change is to embrace and do things the right way and push for change. Like just call said not ignore it. Bring everyone to the table dont give up and forge change...but it all has to do with inclusivity not leaving people alone. I dont like a lot of what China does but there are things I admire and respect. No one is perfect but we can inspire each other to become better.
