As you know, this thin strip technology has already been proven with cannabis. The bigger potential lies in the fact that it can likely be applied to any drug/compound. This form of sublingual/transmucosal delivery offers significantly more rapid onset of action (generally < 5-10 min. vs 1 to 2 hrs via oral route). And if one needs longer duration of action, the sublingual dose can be repeated &/or even used with a delayed onset, longer-acting oral form of the drug. The strip technology also allows for lower/safer dosing without the unwanted adverse effects. Sublingual delivery should be a preferential route for many drugs, especially psychedelics & other psychoactive compounds. There are also many who are adverse to taking pills or are unable to take them for various reasons. I'm happy to see COOL pivot into a new/less competitive/better direction imo. Business agility is no less important than execution. Considering they have also expanded their powerhouse scientific team (including Dr. Hancock with all of his accolades & Dr. Sanderson, our former J&J research executive), this company shows a lot of promise moving forward.
