At the same time, 5.50$ in 2018 is worth more than 5.50$ in 2021. They may want to accelerate them to put that money to use (invest).

Exactly. There is no added incentive for OH to accelerate based on share price. They will be redeemed at $5.50 regardless of if the stock is at $8.00 or $11.00. Just whether they need the cash or not.
