One company loses it's only project because it can't meet the financial obligations in its agreement, can't raise money during the best gold market in a decade without consolidating a reasonable share structure at somebody's (shareholders) expense, can't pay staff, loses office, etc., etc.
Company two can't resolve a simple and regular filing to remain a publicly traded company, thus burying shareholders for over a year, stuck with virtually no way to recover their capital. The basic function of a pubco. Can't or won't file financials. Becuase this isn't like moving a mountain, one must assume they don't want to file and they care little about the shareholders.
Serious money will stay a million miles away from these two. Incompetence or malfeasance, either way seriously bad. If MS was "real" and cared about their own reputation they wouldn't attach their brand to these dogs. There has to be more to all of this for all involved, some way to make buckets of money, or simply it is what it is, three blind mice. A tale to be told, and retold, with these names at the forefront to serve as a warning. Do not stop here, do not pass go. This episode should follow these people around like the big red flag it is.
