Esports has a delay
If you've ever watched an actual live esports event. You would know there is usually at least a 5 minute delay to prevent ghosting. I doubt any of you old fhucks even know what that is.

A 5 minute delay is irrelevant. Live betting means betting occurs while the game is in progress vs. only placing bets before the game begins. The advantage of betting during the game is that situations come up that create new things to bet on.
