RE:Question for rcashOdelay wrote: You mentioned that you would have profited from yesterday's big dip, if your account had not been inaccessible. Just an honest question; does that mean that you would sell something you own and buy it back later for a cheaper price, or does it mean that you have a float of cash to enter new positions when the dips happen?
Trying to capitalize on these dips, but I almost always have all my cash in stocks, and I am terrified to sell on the dips in case I can't get back in. Tried day trading for a while, but I am finding it pays to just hold tight. Any advice would be welcome.

Yes by profited I mean I keep a cash balance in all 3 of my accounts, the largest balance being my margin . I also sell and buy back some times . Liberty leaf has been one of a only few stocks I buy, hold long ,and haven't flucked with ! Lol So I enter a new position on the Dip close as possible to bottom ,and sell short time later on the bounce back as close as possible to top ( That I'm comfortable with ) . I day trade as well . I use that term loosely. Some are 20 min trades ,some are day ,some are week ,or 3 week trades . I won't normally hold a trade longer then a month, without heavy DD and a long position already built in . I buy smaller positions at risky times ,in stocks I'm already long on. So if I make a bad trade it doesn't hurt that bad ( I normally am averaging up with smaller purchases) . Example we'll use WEED . I personally would have tried to buy a couple hundred shares around 26- 27$ and sold near end of day at 28-29 $ . Depending how well I did it could have been an 3 $ a share difference on 200 shares . Might have done that same thing in 3 or 4 different stocks . I have a long built in to CGC that's 2000 shares for free already. If I get caught I hold and average up a little . You can always sell that 200 later ,if a bad trade . I'll Use stop markets/ set triggers soon as profitable ,move them up as I go . I do this a lot when trying to enter new positions or increase a position I already have. I don't do this much on the penny stocks . They can't be CSE stocks to have stop markets . Hope that helps explain a little . Back now to trying to explain Speculation to C12 on the VP board . Funny part is we're both shareholder of VP and arguing over NF ! Lmfao
