Does anyone know the current state of the Bevcanna/NL deal that they signed in Sept of 2019. It was supposed to be for both the provision of oil and the use of their emulsion technology. It was a 3 year deal contingent on commercialization of Bevcanna's operation within 12 months of 2.0 legalization (which would be the end of this year). How do we define commercialization? does it mean ...more

If Bevcanna does not source from Nextleaf then they have no source of CBD/THC.  Nextleafs beverage stabilization tests were done along with Bevcanna. Bevcanna is its own company, IR probably doesnt comment because it's not their place to. Bevcanna keeps having HC reconfirm they're in the final stages of licensing, so it's coming in theory.  Bevcanna had all kinds of ideas ...more

I agree that NL may not feel comfortable commenting on Bevcanna, but there has been a significant change in tone towards Bevcanna this year compared to last year. They have a joint interview in Sept of last year complimenting each other and why they are working together, and now they don't feel comfortable commenting on the deal and the status?  I would love an update on that ...more

Last year Bevcanna was their only partner, now they have multiple clients and partners. Assmuing everyone is hoping for the best on the Bevcanna side but there's no use in advertising a partner stuck in delays, trying to avoid conflating Nextleaf with Bevcanna's problems.  Again, not a shareholder in Bevcanna so I can't speak to their IR situation. The above market placement ...more

checked HC website. No license issued to Bevcanna today. There IR number is never answered for months now. They had a NR stating license imminent and after weeks a NR stating licence in final stages. Lol. Why would we even consider being in any form of contract with Bevcanna?
Comment by GreenWave85 on Nov 13, 2020 6:30pm
Charles told me it's because the way the agreement is structured that if they ever scale up and expand that it would be very lucrative for NL. Apparently the potential revenue earnings has senior people holding on.

My belief is that the Bevcanna deal is dead.   Bevcanna has refered to their licensing as imminent, but they don't expect to commercialize their products until Q1 2021.    Today they released info that they have submitted Cali Boom and Keef drink profiles to Health Canada via an LP that will distrubiute the Bevcanna products through their Health Canada sales license ...more

Have you spoken to IR for clarification on the BevCanna situation?
Comment by Blizzy420 on Nov 19, 2020 8:37am
Have not talked to anyone at OILS or BEV that is why it is just my belief.   I am connecting dots in the world of press releases and hirings.    Could I be wrong?   Of course.

Best of luck to you Blizzy but I'd take another peek at Sproutly if those are the reasons you moved over. Sproutly closed it's grow-op and laid off 75% of their staff. As of their current MD&A they still have not exited whatever their deal is with Moosehead.  It seems like they want to move into licensing their APP tech but they have no supply of oil/distillate themselves, nor ...more

Thanks for the breakdown Franks.... as an investor I am aware of their financial situation.   Their costs have reduced dramatically since they dumped the grow op.   There is no margin in a small grow op so moving to an asset light technology based business model is ideal.   The overhanging debt is all convertible into shares at 6 cents so it will take a few good news ...more

Best of luck to ya Blizzy, hope it works out. Shuttering the grow op was definitely the smart route. Personally I can't figure out if they're doing what Nextleaf is doing or if they're closer to Valens since their plan is to make white label 2.0 and have a house brand. I couldn't find anything about what extraction tech they have but I didn't dive them that hard.  That ...more

I spoke to IR about the BevCanna deal, and they confirmed that nothing has changed, the deal is still in effect.  Here are a few important excerpts from their reply: "...While it is impressive the level of DD they did in order to come to that conclusion, nothing has changed with the deal." "...the comments on our Rapid Technology by OILS™ is objectively inaccurate. The ...more

Awesome job calling in KTM.   I was just shooting from the hip so it is good to hear from the horse's mouth.    It is possible that BevCanna could be using both technologies for different formulations... thats definitely not out of the realm of possibilities. My reference to the tech being from the 70's is in regard to nano tech in general.  It was created ...more

No problem, glad I could get clarification.  I was concerned when I read your post because it all makes sense, and kudos for the in depth research. I originally got involved in this company because of the BevCanna deal, and it would be a shame to see it end before it really even begins.  Jason from IR did mention that they love BevCanna's potential and want to see them succeed, ...more

bevcanna did a pp at 50 cents when they are trading at 39 cents? Above market offering? Just curious, why? Thought pps are done ar current market prices only
Comment by LastoftheFranks on Nov 14, 2020 10:37am
People might be more inclined to answer your questions if your response to anything involving Bevcanna wasn't ignorant bashing.
Comment by stealthct on Nov 14, 2020 12:09pm
Ignorant bashing? Im tired of how you portray yourself as some smug SOB. As if you know everything. Continue supporting poorly performing companies. Believe me, a few of us talk weekly and we noticed a sickness with you. Get some help.
