Day 39 of a 40 day HC approval
This quote from the Aug 31 NR clearly states they submitted to HC and FDA for approval the week prior.
******************************************************
” Also, last week the Company completed submissions to the FDA and Health Canada for authorizations for its COVID-19 rapid, antigen test, including responding to all follow-up questions received to date. The commercialization of its COVID-19 rapid, antigen test continues to be the top near-term priority for the Company.”
***********************************************
Now given the days past, we are sitting at day 39 from Friday Aug 28. The last day of the week they mentioned. So with HC saying it usually takes 40 days for a decision, I’d say any hour now as this is top priority for Canada it seems.
Im ready

I hate to say it, but this is the Canadian govt, if there saying 40 days, there usually talking about working days. I hope its not true and I like your count better. But if its working days then from your start date that takes us to near the end of the month Like Oct 23rd is. GLTA hold strong!!

Could be for sure but that also assumes they'll take very available day.. They're being pressed to move quickly on this from all sides so I don't think they will take more time than they need.

Not taking weekends off? You have got to be kidding, right? This is Government, specifically, the Canadian Government. I want approval, like yesterday, but I would expect 40 WORKING days. Fingers crossed for earlier approval though.

Open everywhere I’ve seen on weekends. In fact last Sunday it was packed. All the news is talking about is getting rapid testing.

those testing sites all need to be open everyday. But they need the right tools for the job. Like sona test kits to begin with. What they are using now is no good. its to the point of 7 days around here to get an answer.

I agree, I think everyone is starting to. My family waited 6 days for a result last week. It really caused a lot of issues with school, work, kids sports. We are lucky as a lot of people have dealt with a lot worse as you can imagine. But it’s really pissing people off that along with a pandemic...we are still unprepared 7months later for testing.
