I would assume quidel will be next and then Sona. No contracts have been stated yet for BD tests.

That's good the world is going to need all of us and 20 more new tests to meet the demand. The only problem is there aren't 20 more being applied for.

SONA has Manufacturing setup in several spots as well. So we can easily ramp up to a million tests a week. A venture with another company could bring that up to 5-10 million a week. Step back and watch the fireworks my friends. This is about to get real. glta

Why would Health Canada approve Becton Dickinson test that needs a reader and that has been found by Nevada to be ineffective at detecting covid 19 and in fact has in 60% false positives? They should have rejected it as an inferior product that doesn't do what it's supposed to. The games played by Health Canada in accommodating an American company.

They probably had to do it because the FDA already approved it and it was in queue before Sona and Quidel but with saying all that it doesn't mean that their EUA can't be rovoked if their test is sub standard. If it's anything like the first quidel fiasco BD will investigate themselves and find no problem with their test. Lol

Sometimes I wonder if Health Canada is owned by the US but insists that the government of Canada pay the payroll of HC scientists and other staff.

More likely that BD has millions of test done to date. Live data is available on their tests. The problem in most cases is not the test. But the sampling, prep and non lab environment. The test has gone through the hoops and it works. Just like SONAs test .
