What are the odds a company listed on the market would go after someone spreading false rumors like that one last night? And more out of curiosity what could they do to someone who would post a rumour that is false on a chat board like this one. The person doing it could they have much defense. It's an interesting thing to think about as I've seen multiple stocks that have people bash but never with the type of abuse I've seen out of some people on here.

I have seen where a CEO went to Court to get a Court Order demanding Stockhouse reveal a poster's IP address as a result of some careless defamatory posting.  The CEO demanded $15K just to get a standstill agreement and a public apology. The post that TrannyP posted last night could cost TP a lot of money if the company decided to pursue it.  Posting stuff like that is a stupid idea.  One could argue that TP's post caused the SP to drop and cause investors to lose money.

Thanks...BC
