Really your waiting till the second quarter next year to pump this to a buck fifty. You haven't been paying attention to interest rates have you? You haven't done your research into what skyrocketing interest rates do to the venture exchange have you? Maybe do a little research into that small item start with the markets in the early 80's. Here is a little hint, it didn't matter if ...more

LOL you didn't pay attention to what the U.S. feds and the bank of Canada said this week. Here I will help you they said interest rates "ARE" going up. When asked how high? Both said it would depend on the inflation numbers! You are correct we are not in the 80's, debt rates for the average joe/jane are 12.74 times higher than they where in the 80's. The Canadian govs own ...more

Some info on interest rates, in 1981 interest rates topped 24% for a short period and prime topped at 21.25%, they moved around for the next 9 years anywhere from a 9% low then in 1991 they spiked again to 14.75% then from that time they started drifing lower till what you see today. The cause for the interest rate spiking was inflation and personal debt levels, inflation was anywhere from a low ...more

I was in Calgary when all this happened in the 80's. Here is what happened to me. I bought an 1800 sq ft house on Shaw Glen Rise in late 1980 for $89,000 by June of 1981 the value of that house dropped to $47,000 and bottomed out at a value of $36,000 and took 15 years to get back to the original value. During this period in Calgary people where walking away from their homes by the thousands ...more

When you do your research into this, the first thing you are going to see is how fast the rates went up, they started out quarterly then monthly then bymonthly and the amount of each increase will shock you.

theoretically I think you're absolutely right but they keep stimulating printing money or whatever they're doing.  I think they know they can't raise interest rates too much or it will be a blood bath... Your posts are interesting and informative, I'm just trying to stay positive.

I agree with you, they will try to keep rates low as long as possible. That's what they did in the 80's they tried to hold off and hold off then when everything caught up with them they had to race to catch up. This same thing has happened 5 times over the past 130 years or so and they always get caught with their pants down and have to catch up. Each time it gets a little worse than the ...more
